Experience
Computer Vision Research Assistant
I worked as a research assistant in the field of computer vision, under the supervision of Prof. Olga Veksler. I focused on combining CNNs with discrete optimization techniques on weakly supervised image segmentation. In addition, I researched on fully convolutional one-stage instance segmentation, using center-ness, boundaries, and graph cuts. I also obtained hands-on experience with various state-of-the-art object detection models.
Database Management Research Assistant
I worked as a research assistant in a database management project, under the supervision of Prof. Semih Salihoglu. I focused on developing efficient and accurate algorithms for querying graph-structured data. I conducted experiments using Java and SQL on large databases and contributed to major sections of the paper Accurate Summary-based Cardinality Estimation Through the Lens of Cardinality Estimation Graphs.
Teaching Assistant
I worked as a teaching Assistant for Linear Algebra Course (Fall 2019). I am responsible for holding tutoring hours.
Online Course Development Assistant
I assisted the instructional design team with online Data Science for Business Decisions course.
